Day 2: Srinagar Local Sightseeing
The day will begin with a tour to Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, and Cheshmashahi. The best thing about these gardens is the scenic beauty, which cannot be described in words. Today after early breakfast you will start a Day trip to Gulmarg also known as ”The Switzerland of Asia.” While the lush green meadows in summer will be a treat to your eyes, so will the snowfall of winters have a soothing effect on your heart and mind. Those interested in catching the nature at a height can take a cable car ride. In winters Skiing can be done here and beginners can take Ski lessons here. In the Evening, we drive back to Srinagar. Morning proceed for the Full day tour of Sonamarg (2 Hours drive 100 Kms). It is a scenic drive over a metalled road, snakes through massive mountains laden with forests and firs. After a breathtaking journey from Srinagar, the valley opens up to a meadow. Ponies can be hired for a trip up to Thajiwas glacier – a major attraction during the summer months. Sonamarg’s importance lies in the fact that it is the last halt on the Kashmir side for the drive from Srinagar to Leh. , See Snowy Mountains against a cerulean sky against its backdrop. You may not help yourself in falling in love with the nature. Some of the places will look familiar to you, as they have been captured in various famous films like Silsila, Betab, Karma, etc. Rest of the day, enjoy your time with the Nature. Overnight at Hotel.

Today you go for a Day trip to Sonamarg which is 100 Kms away from Srinagar. It is time to see glaciers with beautiful stream flowing down from Ladakh Mountains. This place is also known as Gateway to Ladakh. You can also take a horse ride to Thajwas glaciers in search of crystals. Return as the sun sets and stay at Houseboat.

After Nreakfast we start our drive toward Gulmarh, “The Switzerland of Asia”. We will again pass through the saffron fields. This journey is uphills where you can enjoy the beauty of Gorges and Pine trees. Gulmarg is full with activities round the clock. While the lush green meadows in summer will be a treat to your eyes, so will the snowfall of winters have a soothing effect on your heart and mind. Those interested in catching the nature at a height can take a cable car ride (gondola). You will be later shifted to a hotel in Gulmarg to stay overnight.

Continue drive to next village Nimu, where we can view Zanskar River flowing into Indus. Finally, we will reach after tiresome full day journey through one of the highest terrains of the world. We will have refreshing overnight stay at Hotel.

It is time to say good-bye to barren mountains, which definitely will leave a mark on your heart and soul. After bidding farewell will accompany you to the airport to connect to onward destination flight.
